Michael Gove has just written an open letter to the Information Commissioner, expressing his disappointment that the Commissioner has ordered the Department for Education to publish details of free school proposers, following FOI requests by the Guardian and others.
Until now, the Department has only published the details of successful applicants, i.e. those groups whose free schools have been given the thumbs up. The Commissioner has ruled that the Department now has to publish details of all free school proposers, whether successful or not. (To read more, click here.)
