I can't say I'm surprised that David Schwimmer, the actor who played Ross in Friends, has decided to marry a nice English girl. What man in his right mind would choose an American girl over an English woman?
I speak from a position of experience. As someone who spent a year at an Ivy League university in my early 20s and five years in New York during my early 30s, I am a battle-harded veteran of the American dating scene and have the emotional scars to prove it. Indeed, I probably would have stayed in New York and eventually ended up with an American if I hadn't fallen in love with a nice English girl who was living in the apartment next door. Like Dave Schwimmer, I knew a good thing when I saw it and returned to Britain to marry her and start a family. (To read more, click here.)

Good essay. However, contrary to your argument, the main cause of young women’s tough, unsentimental attitude towards love and marriage is not men, but women themselves. I would encourage American chaps to find a non-American wife.

Dear Toby Young:
Brilliant piece. May I quote from it for my website -- as long as I give proper credit? Copywright in which name? Yours? Or, the Telegraph?
Thanks! best, namaste

Perhaps this "nice English girl" is marrying Schwimmer because he's an American. And of course, American mean are much better lovers than their English counterparts. Just a generalisation. But if Toby Young can do it, so can I.
