The BBC's next director-general should be a ToryI've been thinking about who should be the next director-general of the BBC, now that Mark Thompson has announced he'll step down after the Olympics, and one thing is clear: he should be a Tory. Not necessarily an "out" Tory – that would play into the hands of those on the left who accuse the BBC of giving the Coalition an easy ride _– but a Tory nevertheless. (To read more, click here.)

Re: The BBC Posted by Rob on 28-01-2012 12:27: Like a strange Jackson Pollack of weird mind bullets. Horatio, did you actually look at what you 'wrote' before you posted ? Re: The BBC Posted by Toby Young on 29-01-2012 02:47: You gotta admit, Rob. It's kinda brilliant Re: The BBC Posted by Naren Savani on 30-01-2012 10:15: Toby I challenge you to watch the first 10 minutes of Date Line London broadcast last weekend and not conclude that this was propaganda from some country which hated Britain. |
