I see the Church of England, in an attempt to persuade men and women to tie the knot, has issued some guidance on how to celebrate Valentine's Day. It's the usual guff about "rekindling the original spark" and so forth. Pass the sick bag, Bishop.
The thing that has always irritated me about Valentine's Day is that it purports to be a festival for men and women when, in fact, the only people it appeals to are women. Not surprising, given that it involves men having to buy flowers, chocolates, cards and wotnot for their wives and girlfriends. (To read more, click here.)
